We are a small hobby kennel that has been breeding Boston Terriers in Dixon, Illinois, located about 80 miles west of the Chicago. Since 1982 we have been breeding and showing on a small scale and have been doing quite well, producing some outstanding show dogs and an occasional pet or two.
Our kennel is attached to our house and has it’s own kitchen, bathroom, and office. All dogs have individual in/out runs. The kennel is fully air conditioned and heated and each dog has its’ own play time in the house. We pride ourselves on the care and conditioning our dogs receive. We breed dogs to the Standard to produce the ultimate Boston Terrier - one having a great temperament, sound structure, and outstanding beauty.
In the late 1990’s I became a judge for the American Kennel Club. I have enjoyed my ring experiences and seen some outstanding dogs. I feel that good breeders should take the final step and become a judge as that is the only way that the breed will be protected and continue to improve.
I owe a lot of my success in Boston Terriers to the following people: Marge Weakley, Marie Ferguson, Leonard Myers, Michael Staley, John LoPorto, Frank Guemple, Susan Wallace, Colleen Brossard, my mom Stella, and many others that I may have forgotten to name. These people taught me what a good Boston should look like and then I had to incorporate it in my breeding program. My present dogs are the end result of all of their knowledge combined.
